monkey tail fern..who knew?

So we met with ‘a’ florist yesterday. I haven’t said THE, though who knows…we might choose her. We get a proposal from her at the end of the week, so if it all looks good, we will likely just eliminate the need to search for more and pick her (she came on recommendation).

I wanted to share a new plant I was introduced to…the monkey tail fern. Didn’t even know they existed! Pretty cool if I do say so, and they look great in bouquets! (She also said you can fry and eat them…though she never had tried)

such a weird plant!

Oooh! I call those “fiddlehead” ferns, and they are DELICIOUS!

you actually have eaten them? crazy!

I’ve never heard of them before either. I love the way they look in the bouquet!

Hi: Thought I would stop by and visit, and I am so glad I did. Love your blog. The pictures are fabulous. Will be back soon and thanks so much for sharing. Cheers, Lia

Beautiful!!

Stoppin’ by from SITS!

Such pretty bouquets!! I don’t know if could eat that fern, no matter how much I love salad (haha) it looks a little scary!

Hope you have a great day! Stopping by from SITS!

Those are so cool! Love the name, too. Who wouldn’t want a monkey tail fern?

I love these! I *think* I might have them growing in my yard, but it’s such a jumble because the last owner planted so many perennials that I get confused and pull things that aren’t weeds and let scary looking weeds grow.
