Its Friday night. I’m at home feeling crafty. Don’t want to go out and spend money, I’ve gotta save for next week at Jazz Fest. We got a camera that needs a case…what a perfect time to create one…right?
Sure…it sounded good in theory. I have a great pattern I bought on Etsy. The pattern required Velcro, which I don’t have, but I figured I’d hand stitch that on later…I mean, I wanted to make the case tonight! I even thought I was all good with the other supplies. fabric. check. batting. check. interfacing. check….and that’s where it started to go all wrong.
I just purchased a new point and shoot camera and I couldn’t be happier with it. I got a Panasonic Lumix. So I’ve taken just a few photos with it as I got it last night, but…the quality of photos might be the best I’ve seen on a small camera, and the LCD screen is huge!
With my new purchase, I want to take care of it….so I am going to make my own camera case. I just bought a PDF pattern from a site on etsy, and am going to follow the pattern. Figured I have a ton of fabric, and the price was right! I’ll keep you updated as to my progress.
I also bought this one..just for fun.
I’d be able to play with this!!

my white Holga
It’s sitting at the USPS…waiting for me…but I can’t get it because I work the hours the post office is open! I left the note telling them to re-deliver, but they didn’t. Because the mail(person) doesn’t know how to do her job.. (this isn’t an isolated incident).
And so it waits…and the longer I do too.
Soon I can become inspired. Soon the vignette will be visible. Soon…
My birthday has come and gone, but a few of the presents remain. And I’m torn. I have a gift certificate to Target (someone knows me pretty well), and need help figuring out how to spend it!
Its already known that I, as well as many other folks have problems with Target, and I mean problems in the best sense of the word. I can’t remmeber the last time I went to Target and got out of there spending under $100. Case and point. I went there to buy a card table and some chairs. I figure that should have run me $30 max. $152 later, and I had everything I needed. I repeat, NEEDED.
So now I am forced with the fact that I HAVE to buy stuff at Target. Ugh…I know, rough life. However, the decision making process is proving to be a difficult one. Do I buy things I need for the house, like the vacuum/dustbuster that we desperately need? I mean…its gotta be bought, but thats not very fun is it?
Do I buy one item? Do I blow the load on a camera lens that I have been eyeballing?
Do I go clothes shopping? I do love the Target clothes…they are as inexpensive as Forever 21, but better quality, and I can leave with way more items than one camera lens. It has recently come to my attention that the Anna Sui line has come out and there are a few really cute pieces! In addition to the fact that I need a nice winter coat, and can ALWAYS use new clothes/underwear/accessories.

This post has the potential to be terribly long if I continued on with my wish list. Do I play it safe and order online, or do I risk going into the store? Do I go in with no intentions, and just see where the mood takes me? I guess considering the certificate is for more than $100, I’m OK spending more….but the decision making process is the tough part. What do YOU think I need at Target?
