With the arrival of my mom yesterday, and the impending arrival of other guests starting in just a few hours…I am not going to have the time or energy to post to The Little Goat. I’m signing off for now, and will be back when the family has left, and I have a new last name. So I leave you with a kitten in formal wear, and if you want to watch my favorite of the Muppet Studios Videos, click here. (It won’t let me embed)
Do you ever feel that just because you have a blog, that you are required to write in it? I feel like up to this point I’ve been pretty good about 3-4 entries a week, sometimes up to 7. I don’t really have anything to say right now, so I’ve been kind of dark for a few days. I enjoy looking at my analytics and knowing that people are actually reading my blog. I sometimes fear that if I stop writing, people will stop….but I guess I shouldn’t feel obligated to write about nothing ….like I’m doing now.
Its been a pretty lazy Saturday. I’ve been staring at a huge pile of laundry for a week and a half that keeps growing, and I remember why I covet my own washer/dryer. But alas…with no water hookups, no washer/dryer. I’ll get it washed tomorrow…yah, I keep saying that.
I’m going to leave you blog world, likely till Monday, when I come back with an Etsy Tag Monday, and I want to share this video that my friend introduced me to. If you have 5 minutes, its worth the watch. This poor guy has been diagnosed with TB, but is making the most of his weeks of quarantine by making videos. Pretty entertaining.
If only my animals were this into bathing. It’s just too cute to handle.
Did you all know that the Muppets are 40 this year? Crazy right? With the anniversary being a big one, Muppets Studio has pulled together a YouTube channel, and seriously, some of these videos are absolute hilarity. Beaker does a solo “Ode to Joy” , and Beaker and Sweedish Chef do a Habanera worth watching for sure. I suggest watching them all. The Sweedish Chef, Beaker and Animal headline in most of the musical numbers.
Its actually pretty funny. They are taking a modern approach, and making all the videos internet memes. Statler & Waldorf, our favorite critics, are watching all of the videos online, and make their silly puns at the end of each, having just turned off the computer. We watch what they just did.
I guess I’m about a month and a half behind in this news, but I HAD to share it…its pretty outstanding, because I heart the Muppets. I wanted to share this Bohemian Rhapsody cover by the Muppets, and not just with the three characters I mentioned above. Almost ALL of the Muppets participate in this one, and at all the right moments. Watch the whole thing. Its a long song, but totally worth every minute. The video, an official production of the Muppets Studio (as all of them on this channel are), was the puppet clan’s first foray into covering music on the Web. A rousing success I’d say.
As I sit on my couch, wearing a hoodie and running the heat, my fingers are starting to freeze up on me. Yes, I have heard all the nay sayers from the East Coast laughing at all of us West Coasters freaking out when the high goes to 45, but our homes arent made for this type of weather! On the East, you have insulated windows, and other things that help keep the house warm. We arent used to this!! I can’t get anything done, all I want to do is keep warm, and man do I wish I had a fire. So…I’m watching SYTYCD and Top Chef and staying warm….so much for a meaningful blog post.
I wanted to leave you with this…If you need to ask…you just don’t get it.
(this had me cracking up the other night…so I wanted to share. Why are Screaming Frogs so funny?)
I don’t know much about Pomplamoose, except that there is something completely adorable about her voice. (I also just found out that its the french word for grapefruit!)
My friend Jamie, author of Always More to Hear, got to interview them and will have a full article appearing on Examiner.com, all on the interview. I was perusing their YouTube channel and happened upon this one. Beyonce’s Single Ladies holds a special, albeit odd, place in my heart. Enjoy the video, and don’t forget to check back to read Jamie’s article.
Nothing like a kitten video to start your day off right.
